Well he have been making some slow progress on the boat as we have been waiting for 2 months to get the new engine. We had done everything we possibly could to make Free Spirit water tight and sea ready. Now comes the fun part. The masts are just about ready to be installed and yesterday we picked up the "new to us" engine from Yachts & Diesel in Fort Lauderdale. This has been a long and very tiring process to get us to this point but this is now comes the exciting part. The engine is home with us and we will get her installed and get the masts stepped and sails on. Super excited to see the next transformation and to get us to the next step.
Join us for a live streaming Question and Answer session today at 3pm. We will answer all of your questions, provide complete status of the boat with progress thru last weekend and what is next on the project list.
So we have been extremely busy over the last 2 weeks between working full time and working on on the boat and the heat advisory for the weather there just hasn't been anytime for me to update. So I am combining the last 2 work weekends into one post so we are back up to date.
Received the final number of additional thru hulls needed and placed that order today. Having them shipped out overnight so we can drop them off after work tomorrow. There are a total of 11 more that are needed. We are trying to get into the water by the end of the week. It's a tight timeline but we are trying.
More progress is done on the boat. I am so excited to see her coming back to life. The amount of work done was solid for the weekend and we couldn't be any happier with the progress.
