We got sponsored with Kemimoto Fenders! What a game changer with these new dinghy fenders! We did a review of them and hope to do another follow up video soon once we have had some more use out of them but so far and by far the best thing we have received for review. They are very well made and hold up well to the ruggedness we have at the various docks with sharp objects and things that poke out waiting to destroy your dinghy. We absolutely love these fenders and can't speak more highly for them. Get yourself a set, heck get 2 they are just that awesome!!

Ok so projects completed this past month.... Slow but still ongoing progress has been made. We have come to the realization that we PLAN (in every sense of the word) plan to leave in November and for some reason this just hit us like a ton of bricks. So we will do everything in our power to ensure that this is something that we can do. Weekends are difficult as we are so exhausted from working during the week that the last thing we want to do is do more work. We would much rather be out on the boat playing and having fun with our friends. That being said we are going to have to start placing boundaries so we can work but the weather or rather the Florida summer just popped up overnight. No gradual change in the weather just bam from comfortable high 70s/low 80's to 150 degrees. Needless to say, if we want or need to do any outside work, we have to have it done by 10am and no later than 11am as it's just too hot to stay outdoors!
We did manage to take a couple of evening sunset cruises. We took the puppies out for a beach day, that was a hot mess trying to get 5 adults and 3 dogs into the dingy for a beach day but we did it... 2 trips with gear and it was a good time on the beach for everyone.
We stayed an extra week on the boat this month to try and get some work done however, that didn't work out as planned but we did mange to get some smaller things completed that needed to be done and that no one but us would know got done as they were not visible to anyone else. The endless cleaning and organizing of things occurred as we started to make plans to leave in November, this required us to prioritize projects and start the process of making sure we have sufficient safety gear, fishing (inshore & offshore) equipment, spare parts were ordered and all of this had to be organized and find a home in the boat.
We finished installing the insulation in the forward cabin and head. Then we moved the excess box of insulation that isn't needed off the boat and into storage. We changed out the drinking water hose, water filters, and a big thanks to Andy for changing out and plumbing both the new inlet and outlets for the desk wash and hose with new plumbing lines to the water tanks. Now the leak that we had at the water inlet is now fixed and no more leaks!
We started to seal up things, meaning the cabinets in the forward head and the galley got new tracks and doors with handles put in so nothing will go flying when we start sailing.
All of the scuba gear was taken off the boat including tanks and taken to our local dive shop for service. It took a few weeks to get our BC's, Regulators and tanks to come back but at lease they are all serviced and in top working order for us for our next diving adventure.
We also got the spinnaker sail unboxed and onboard! Yay!! Additionally, we got the new Shore/Generator switch installed! A huge thing that was actually done by a contractor as you sometimes just have to know your limits and what you can and can't do. This just makes it so much easier to turn on the generator and we won't have to climb over the engine to turn it on/off which is especially important if the engine was running.
We are still waiting for the generator to get finished so hopefully that will be soon so we can move on to the next set of projects.
