Well after not having the ability to work on the boat for the past month, we are finally able to get started working on boat projects again. We have only been able to take and drop items to the boat along with items there were ordered and delivered for next projects. Today comes another drop off as I don't see how we will be able to get anything done today but if you are wondering, here are the plans for the rest of the year for our projects: Boat needs to be grounded and galvanic isolator to be installed, plumbing goes in, Water connections from outside now come into the boat, poop box gets installed, we need to move the battery switch so we can install the hot water heater, install the galley sink and counter tops, install a fully functioning head (yes, sink, plumbing, toilet and shower are up next!), figure out if we can convert the twin beds in the aft (master cabin) and covert that to a king bed. Also, dingleberry needs some patches. We found leaks when we were cleaning her before the hurricane.

Some stuff that Nancy can do while on the boat and is ready for the next phase are: new cushions for settie, new cushions for the cockpit, add more lighting in the salon and add some lighting to the master cabin, add fans to the master cabin. Also, need to add the faux teak to the cock pit flooring and repair the dodger zippers that broke. Sanding and varnishing... sanding and varnishing... the interior needs to be done as well as the exterior toe rails, exterior locker boxes, bow spirt and any where else there is teak that needs to be cleaned and stained. Nancy came up with another idea to use the current patters for the dodger and create bug netting for the summers to keep the bugs out. Good Idea for sure!!

Nancy has already started to provision the boat with food so we can eat actual meals now when on board. Since we are at the marina, we can use the shower facilities so we have stuff to shower and clean clothes to change into.

We got pricing from Lewmar for new porthole windows. They don't make our windows anymore so our only option is to either take them in when we have the salon window replaced and have the plastic cut or have complete new one put in... the debate on that is still ongoing - windows are slated for replacement but not until next year at the earliest. They aren't leaking so they don't need to be fixed (just yet).

Next large purchases to make: Stove/Oven for Galley, refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, solar and AC. Our current AC unit died while we were in Annapolis and is no longer able to repaired so the whole unit needs to be replaced.... It's a boat something is always dying and needs to fixed or replaced.

So this is enough to keep us busy on weekends for the next few months. Once this is done, we can purchase beds and start going for some overnight sails! Wish us luck and continue to follow us on this journey!
